Because of our long standing relationship with a wide range of suppliers we are able keep our costs down which means better prices for you the customer, also because we a family owned firm we do not need to charge high prices to keep shareholders in the city happy.

Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998) and according to the Which? Web Trader Code of Practice. We will not share your information with any third party. We collect information about you for 2 reasons: firstly, to process your order and second, to provide you with the best possible service. We will not e-mail you in the future unless you have given us your consent except to inform you of the progress of your order. We will give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • your name
  • address
  • phone number
  • email address
  • credit/debit card details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law and the Which? Web Trader Code.If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This includes using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser and is essential for your shopping basket to work on our site. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

Prices

All prices shown include VAT where applicable.

Orders from countries outside the scope of VAT will have the cost of VAT deducted, and the total costs include posting will be notified to you in order to obtain your agreement before payment is taken.

Delivery Service - UK

Only £3.95 Carriage charge for all UK orders. Prices include VAT where applicable.

Our aim is to deliver within 3 working days.
Please however note the current delivery position shown against each item. These are normally maximum working day times. For instance if you order an item showing 3 day delivery after close of business on Friday you could expect delivery on Wednesday but we may well deliver Tuesday.

For UK deliveries we use Parcel Force or ANC .

For items sent using Parcel Force or ANC a signature will be required on delivery, in the event that no one is available to sign for the parcel it will be taken back to your local depot or local post office and a note left with information as to how to have the item re-delivered.

Overseas Sales

For countries outside the scope of VAT we will deduct the cost of VAT before charging your credit card. You may be liable for local taxes within your own country.
Outside the UK we will use the most appropriate delivery method. The amount payable for most EEC countries is shown below the shopping cart or is available here.
For countries not shown on this chart we will notify you before despatch of the shipping costs, when we have your agreement to these costs we will then despatch your goods.

Returns Policy

At OutdoorGear we want you to be delighted every time you shop with us so we make our returns policy simple.


Our "no quibbles" guarantee means that if for any reason you are unhappy with the item you have purchased just return it in its original condition within 21 days and we will issue a full refund for the price of the item.
We will also be happy to refund the delivery charge if the return is a result of our or the manufacturers error.

Faulty Items

In the unlikely event you find a fault with any product bought from us, 
please return the item to us as soon as possible. 
When returning any product please enclose your returns form with your order number
and ensure that the goods are clean and dry. 

In most cases if the product is faulty, we will offer an immediate refund or exchange.
Please note that with some returned goods it may be necessary to return the item to the manufacturer for assessment before a final decision can be made.


For your protection we recommend that you use a Recorded Delivery postage service.

This does not affect your statutory rights.

If you are planning on returning items to us, please enclose the following information to enable us to deal with your return promptly

  1. Your Order Number
  2. Your Name, Address and Daytime Telephone Number
  3. Reason for return - i.e. Unsuitable, Faulty, Incorrect item sent etc.
  4. What action you would like us to take - i.e. Refund, Exchange for Same Item, Exchange for Different Item
  5. Any other information you believe is relevant to the return.
  6. If you are returning large or heavy items please contact us before returning the goods as we may wish to arrange collection.

For your protection we recommend that you use a Recorded Delivery service.

We are members of the 'Outdoors Industries Association'
The Outdoor Industries Association is the industry trade body representing manufacturers, retailers and service providers. They exist to encourage participation in outdoor activities and to support the trade in all areas.
Members include world leading manufacturers and suppliers to the outdoor industry, who liaise constantly to maintain the leading edge in design and technology from concept to product launch, which means UK consumers have access to the best.
All Outdoor Industries Association member companies are bona fide Outdoor Industries specialists, offering the consumer a high level of expertise and knowledge when visiting an Association retailer. All members sign up to a code of practice.
