The Coleman Cobra 3 Backpacking Tent is a sturdy sanctuary for outdoor exploration. The aluminium poles provide a strong, stable structure that excels in miserable weather, aided by mesh pole sleeves and an aerodynamic shape.
The main flysheet fabric is a PU coated polyester with taped seams and hydrostatic head of 3000mm, whilst a heavier duty groundsheet sees this increase to 5000mm. The inner see large portions of fine mesh, keeping bugs at bay whilst allowing ventialtion.
The flysheet is finished in a two tone design, with a darker grey finsh over the roof of the tent. This reduces the chance of being woken early by sunrise. The lighter grey side panels give the inner a bright and airy feeling, whilst the flashes of lime green add a touch of style.
The spacious inner can fit three people, or two with lots of kit. Whilst the porch are does provide some storage, this is best used for muddy boots, walking poles and other kit. Though it may seem to be a touch heavier, split the poles, inner and outer between your backpacking companions and it very quickly becomes a great option.
The Cobra 3 from Coleman is a tough little tent and will be just at home on any demanding backpacking trip you can think of!
