Lightweight, cushioned and packed full of features, the AKU Alterra GTX Walking Boots are the bee's knees.
The upper is made from a suede, but constructed in such a way that it doesn't feature a traditional tongue or gusset. These components are made using a super stretchy material, which ensures the optimum fit and excellent levels of comfort.
The lacing system, something that is often overlooked, features a small pulley in the eyelet. This means that you get an even distribution of pressure when you pull on the laces, further improving the fitting.
The AKU Alterra GTX Walking Boots feature asymmetric construction of the outsole and make use of AKU's Elica technology. This ensures excellent support underfoot, whilst enhancing the foot's natural motion and results in excellent propulsion up the trail.
A truly great boot, the AKU Alterra GTX really is ready for any adventure. Light enough for a gentle hike, yet more than capable to head into the Alps when the time comes. A firm favourite of mine.
