The Alterra is constructed from suede, but with the tongue made using a super stretchy softshell material which ensures the optimum fit and excellent levels of comfort.
The lacing system, something that is often overlooked, features a small pulley in each eyelet. This means that you get an even distribution of pressure when you pull on the laces, further improving the fitting.
The Women's version of the AKU Alterra GTX Walking Boots feature a women's specific fitting. They also utilise AKU's Elica technology.
